The U of S American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists Student Chapter invited Andrew M. Vick, Ph.D. to be the guest speaker for the 2017 AAPS Visiting Scientist Day. This was held on the 13th of September at the health sciences building. The event was a great success with over 70 faculty members and trainees in attendance.

His second talk titled “Continual Evolution of the Pharma Industry and Career Tips” was carried out in a more interactive setting where he enlightened many graduate students, post-docs and staff members on career development, soft skills, and job opportunities in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. At the end of the second session, the chapter Chair Franklyn presented Dr. Vick with a plaque of appreciation for visiting U of S on behalf of the AAPS Chapter.
His one-day itinerary included meetings with faculty members and the University Animal Care Committee and the Animal Care and Ethics Program along with tours of the Canadian Light Source (CLS) and the Cyclotron Facility (Sylvia Fedoruk Canadian Centre for Nuclear Innovation).
